Owl Howse Press. Wanna publish here ... ?
Pooh's Owl Howse gave name to my Treehouse, a favorite place, which gave name to Owl Howse Press.
The treehouse had been promised to sons and nephews since toddler age. Finally one May I bestired my usual sloth and, with the help of a friend, layed out the “foundation” (a Chaplinesque debacle using ropes and swinging beams).
It then took about a year of weekends to "finish" it, with tools and materials hand-carried up rickety ladders and attached, plank by plank, by this author.
The French have a word for it. (The French have a word for most anything weird.) I don't know what it is, exactly, but I read an article once ... It’s used to describe the crazy driven projects that people do.
Well ... I did.
Ironically, upon completion, the gang o’ five was a bit too mature to want to play Pirates and Castle Keep. After a couple good water gun fights and a really cramped sleep over one summer night, it pretty much reverted to its creator for comfort, quiet and creative cacophony.
